If passengers flying into the Miami International Airport want a way to get around the city during their stay, they can rent a car from one of the numerous car rental facilities located in the airport. There are 16 car rental agencies to choose from at the Miami International Airport Rental Car Center. The rental car center is located one mile to the east of the airport, which means passengers will need to use the MIA Mover. The MIA Mover is an electric powered train that takes passengers to and from their baggage claim terminal to the rental car center.

Getting to the Rental Car Center
The MIA Mover takes all passengers from their terminal to the rental car facility and drops them off at the rental agency they are renting from. To get to the MIA Mover, all airline passengers must use the 3rd Level Skyride, which is a moving crosswalk. This takes passengers to the MIA Mover, which is on the third floor. The MIA Mover is located between the Flamingo and Dolphin Garages and it is free to use.
Rental Car Information
Travelers flying into the Miami International Airport are encouraged to reserve their rental car ahead of time. This allows them to choose the type of car they want to rent as well as guarantees that the car will be available when the renter arrives at the rental car center. All renters must present a valid driver’s license when renting a car. Additionally, renters must provide a method of payment in the form of a credit card or debit card; not all agencies accept debit cards, however. Those that do accept debit cards require you have enough funds in your bank account for them to hold, which is usually around $200.
