The Bob Hope Airport is located in Burbank, a lovely community in California. It’s close to Los Angeles, but the airport doesn’t have quite the same hustle and bustle as LAX. Those who fly into Bob Hope Airport might require the use of a rental car, which is something they can easily do upon arrival or before they depart home. There are four rental car agencies located in the airport and six located off the grounds of the airport, which requires a short ride on a complementary shuttle.
On-site airport rental car agencies include Alamo, Avis, Hertz, and National. Each one offers a number of different types of rentals, including trucks, vans, SUVs, sedans, coupes, and convertibles. Each of the four on-site rental car counters is located in the baggage claim section of terminal B in the Bob Hope Airport.
Advantage, Budget, Discovery, Enterprise, Fox, and Midway car rental agencies are located off-site at the Bob Hope Airport. These agencies require use of a complementary shuttle. The shuttle picks up travelers who are waiting at an island outside of terminal B. The ride to the rental car agencies off-site takes only a few minutes. Once travelers return their rental cars to the appropriate rental agency, they will hop on the same set of shuttles to return to the airport. The off-site rental car agencies offer the same type of rentals as the on-site agencies.
Travelers who want a certain type of rental are encouraged to book their car well in advance to guarantee availability. Otherwise, travelers are left to choose between whatever types of rental car a specific agency has available when the traveler arrives. All rental car agencies offer additional features such as a GPS system and child car seats and booster seats to passengers who need them. All drivers must present a valid driver’s license and a valid credit or debit card to rent their vehicle. Not all agencies accept debit cards, however.
