Car Rental at Reno Tahoe International Airport

Airline passengers flying into the Reno-Tahoe International Airport have the option of renting a vehicle for their stay from nine different rental car agencies. Eight of the rental car agencies are located inside the airport and one is located just off airport property. All eight rental car agencies offer travelers their choice of many different types of vehicles. Travelers can choose between different size sedans, coupes, convertibles, minivans, luxury cars, SUVs, and trucks. A few of the rental car agencies offer special vehicles for those with a handicap or disability.

Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, Thrifty, National, Enterprise, and Dollar are all located inside the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Each of these car rental agencies has a rental car counter in the baggage claim terminal. The rental parking lot is located directly outside of baggage claim, which means travelers do not have to go far to pick up their rental car. All agencies have their own designated space in the parking lot, each numbered differently. This helps travelers find their rental car quickly.

Advantage Rent A Car is located off of the airport property. Travelers need to catch the complementary service shuttle to take them to the Advantage rental car counter. Shuttles are located outside of the arrivals and baggage claim terminal. Travelers should exit the terminal at the “D” door north of the baggage claim area. The rental car shuttle meets passengers outside to drive them to the Advantage rental center. Additionally, the same shuttle will transport passengers back to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport when they drop off their rental car at the end of the rental car period.

Travelers are encouraged to reserve their rental car in advance to ensure the type of car they want to rent is available on the date of pick up. While it is possible to walk in and rent a car without a reservation, the type of cars available at the last minute may not be what travelers want out of a rental car.
