Anyone traveling into the Buffalo Niagara International Airport has nine rental car agencies to rent from. Six are located on-site and three are located off-site. Each rental car agency offers rental types such as minivans, passenger vans, convertibles, sedans, coupes, trucks, and SUVs. One rental agency even offers travelers their choice of wheelchair accessible vans. Each of the rental agencies has a variety of cars available at any given time, though each recommends travelers make a rental car reservation in advance to ensure the agency has the type of rental car travelers want.
Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, and National car rental agencies are all located on-site at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. Travelers who rent cars from any of these airports will have the option to pick up their keys and sign their rental agreement right in the terminal in baggage claim. The cars owned by these agencies are parked on-site, and travelers need only look for their rental agency’s lot and the number slot in which their rental is parked.
Dollar, Thrifty, and Boulevard Van City are all located off-site. Before travelers can pick up their rental car from any of these agencies, they must take a complementary airport shuttle to the rental location. These shuttles are located outside of the baggage claim area of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. They are designed to pick up passengers to take them to the off-site rental counters. Since travelers have to drop off their rental car before they depart from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, they will have to take the same shuttle back to the airport after dropping off their rental car.
If travelers want to rent a specific type of rental car, they should book their rental ahead of time to guarantee the availability of that type of car. Additionally, each driver needs to present a valid driver’s license and method of payment. Most rental agencies accept debit cards, and all rental car agencies accept major credit cards.
